Connection Methods

Clinero supports two industry-standard encrypted connection methods, chosen based on your IT infrastructure and the type of work being performed.

TeamViewer

Industry-standard remote desktop software used for direct, session-based access to your PMS. Sessions are initiated only at agreed times, and access is fully terminated when the session ends.

VPN

An encrypted virtual private network connection that provides secure, persistent access to your practice network where needed. Set up together with your IT contact to ensure full compliance with your infrastructure requirements.

How a Session Works

Session is scheduled

Your dedicated Clinero contact schedules a billing session in advance, or works independently within a pre-agreed recurring time window — whatever suits your practice’s schedule best.

Secure connection is established

A TeamViewer session or VPN connection is opened using encrypted credentials. No unilateral access is possible; the connection is always authenticated before any work begins.

Billing work is carried out

Clinero specialists work directly inside your PMS — reviewing records, creating and optimising billing entries, drafting HKPs, and ensuring all applicable GOZ, BEMA, GOÄ, BEB, and BEL positions are correctly captured.

Session ends and access is closed

When the work is complete, the remote session is fully terminated. All changes are saved within your own PMS as normal. No data is retained by Clinero outside your system, and no persistent background access remains active.

Security Measures

Every remote access session is governed by strict technical and procedural controls:
  • End-to-end encrypted connections at all times — no unencrypted data in transit
  • Access only during agreed sessions or pre-scheduled time windows; no on-demand or unannounced connections
  • No patient or billing data is exported or stored outside your PMS without explicit consent
  • All Clinero staff have signed comprehensive confidentiality agreements covering patient and practice data
  • Regular security reviews and quality audits ensure ongoing compliance with GDPR (DSGVO) and German data protection standards
Remote access never requires your staff to stop working. Clinero experts can work in parallel with your front desk team inside the same PMS simultaneously — there is no lock-out, no blocked workstation, and no interruption to normal patient administration.
